What is special
about DualSpaceScan?
All files belong to one of the 3 spaces, "known good
file" space, "known bad file" space, and "unknown
file" space. DualSpaceScan contains 2 signature database, one covers
known good file space, one for known bad file space, and thus it also
detects unknown files. When user starts the scanner, it detects all known
good files (white list), known bad files (black list), and also produces
unknown files (grey list). DualSpaceScan exposes the hidden malicious
files in the file system and unknown downloads. User can update its known
good file signature and bad file signature database any time anywhere. By
default, it contains known good file signature for Windows XP SP2
and known bad file signatures for viral programs in the wild list.
When DualSpaceScan
should be used?
DualSpaceScan can be used any time when you want to find
out what files are known as good, what files are known as bad (computer virus,
Internet worm, Spyware, etc), and what files are unknown. DualSpaceScan
can be very helpful when you use it every time before you shutdown the
system so that you can find out any new unknown files have been silently
downloaded into your system. This way you can have a chance to clean it
up and keep your system always reboot clean. You can also use
DualSpaceScan every time after you surf the internet to limit any unknown
downloads. When you install new software or update your system, you can
use DualSpaceScan to update known good file signature database.
